Reciban nuestros Saludos desde Perú: CAPAJ yel Foro indígena mundial por el Agua y la Paz IWFWP, y muchos pueblos indígenasdel mundo nos hemos reunido en un evento especial y hemos acordado solicitar aUds. se sirvan recomendar al Pleno del UNPFII incluir en el informe final de laXI sesión del UNPFII, los aportes que hemos formulado por el respeto a la vitalrelación espiritual que guardan nuestros pueblos con las aguas de susterritorios Ancestrales. La doctrina del descubrimiento impidió que el mundo conozcaesa gran obra de nuestras culturas de Tratar al agua como una matriz de vida.El tratamiento indígena de las aguas superficiales, subterráneas y aéreas, fueuna ciencia ecológica muy avanzada. Los supuestos conquistadores actuaroncegados por la falsa doctrina del Descubrimiento en nuestro habitad natural,trajeron el concepto de dominio sobre las aguas. Hoy los Estados asumen lasaguas como suyas sin tomar en cuenta que los ríos, lagos y humedales no fuerondescubiertos por los conquistadores, sino que por milenios nuestros parientesya mantenían una relación especial con el agua que era la característica denuestras civilizaciones. Merece que el UNPFII, en esta sesión remarque esteerror histórico y se pronuncie expresamente por remediar al agua y devolver a nuestros pueblos su madre agua, para quesiga siendo sana y se reproduzca conforme a nuestros usos y costumbres, parabien de toda la humanidad.

Receiveour Greetings from Peru: CAPAJ and global Indigenous Forum on Water and PeaceIWFWP, and many othres indigenous peoples of the World, have gathered at aspecial event and have agreed to ask you to make use of the UNPFII to recommendto the full inclusion in the final report of the eleventh session of theUNPFII, the contributions we have made with respect for the vital spiritualrelationship that keep our people with the waters of their ancestralterritories.

The doctrine of discovery prevented the world know that great work ofour cultures to treat the water as an array of life. Native treatment ofsurface water, underground and overhead was a very advanced ecological science.The alleged conquerors acted blinded by the false doctrine of discovery in ournatural habitat, brought the concept of dominion over the waters. Today thestates take the waters as their own regardless of the rivers, lakes andwetlands were not discovered by the conquistadors, but by thousands of ourrelatives and maintained a special relationship with water that wascharacteristic of our civilizations.

It that the UNPFII, this session remarque this historical error and aruling expressly to remedy the water and return to our people their motherwater to keep it healthy and reprodusca according to our customs and traditionsfor the good of all mankind .
